What other awards/trophies did Derby County win in the same year as their biggest win?
Derby County had a successful year in 1975 when they won their biggest trophy, the League Championship. In addition to that, they added to their trophy cabinet with a win in the FA Cup. They beat Leeds United 1–0 in the final, with Colin Todd scoring the only goal of the game.
In the same year, Derby County also won the Anglo-Scottish Cup. They defeated West Bromwich Albion in the two-legged final, winning 1–0 in the first leg and then drawing the second 1–1. They also won the Watney Cup, beating Manchester City in the final of the knockout competition.
Finally, 1975 also saw Derby County win the Charity Shield. The match against FA Cup winners West Ham United ended in a 0–0 draw, but Derby won the trophy on penalties. This was their first Charity Shield victory, and it was yet another success in what turned out to be a memorable year for the club.
