Who did Derby County beat in their biggest win?
Derby County’s biggest win came in the 1974 FA Cup Final when they beat Leeds United 1-0 at Wembley Stadium. Leeds United were one of the strongest teams in the country at the time and had won the First Division title the previous season. Derby County were underdogs going into the match, however they put in a tremendous performance to beat the Yorkshire side. The only goal of the match came from an Ian Hutchinson header in the 54th minute, and that proved to be the difference as Derby County went on to lift the FA Cup for the first time in their history. It was a memorable day for the club, and a win that will forever be remembered by the Derby County faithful.
