Carrie Bickmore's first husband was Greg Lange. He was a writer, producer and director for Australian television. Lange began his career in 1994 as a producer for the Seven Network's current affairs program Today Tonight. He then moved to the Nine Network where he was executive producer of the show A Current Affair, and later became the producer of the Nine Network's 60 Minutes.
Lange also produced documentaries, including the critically acclaimed, award-winning series, Australia: A Time for Healing and the documentary series, Australia's Most Wanted. Lange was also the executive producer of the award-winning series Australia's Next Top Model, which aired on the Seven Network.
In addition to his work on Australian television, Lange had a successful career as a film producer. He produced the feature film The Nugget, which won the Golden Bear at the 2002 Berlin International Film Festival, as well as the feature film Lost Things, which won the AFI Best Film Award in 2003. Lange tragically passed away in 2010 at the age of 40.
