Who directed Cabin in the Woods?
The 2012 horror-comedy film Cabin in the Woods was directed by Drew Goddard. Goddard is an American screenwriter, director, and producer. He is best known for his work on the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Alias, Lost, and Daredevil. He also wrote and directed the science fiction horror film Cloverfield, and co-wrote the script for World War Z.
Cabin in the Woods is Goddard's directorial debut. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Kristen Connolly, Anna Hutchison, and Jesse Williams. The story follows five college students as they travel to a remote forest cabin for a weekend getaway. Little do they know, they are being watched by a secret organization that has sinister plans for them. The film was a critical and commercial success, earning Goddard an Empire Award for Best Horror.
Goddard's latest projects are producing the Netflix series The Defenders, and writing and directing the upcoming film Bad Times at the El Royale. He is currently in production for the television series The Good Lord Bird, which he is set to executive produce.
