Dustin Martin is a professional Australian rules footballer who plays for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is a three-time premiership player and a four-time All-Australian. His middle name is Andrew.
Martin was born in Castlemaine, Victoria, to Shane and Kathy Martin on 26 June 1991. He has two siblings, Melissa and Brandon. He attended Castlemaine Secondary College and was initially drafted by the Greater Western Sydney Giants with the 3rd overall pick in the 2009 AFL draft, but he chose to remain in Victoria and was traded to Richmond Football Club in 2010.
Martin quickly established himself as one of the best players in the league, winning his first premiership with Richmond in 2017, and was awarded the Brownlow Medal in 2018 and the Norm Smith Medal in 2017 and 2020. He is the first player in AFL history to win the Brownlow Medal and the premiership in the same year, and the first to win the Norm Smith Medal in successive grand finals.
