What are the rules for IPL auction 2023?

The Indian Premier League Auction 2023 will take place in the early months of 2023 and will follow the same rules as the previous auctions. Teams are allowed to buy a maximum of 10 players for an amount not exceeding the salary cap of 80 crore rupees. The auction will be conducted in a descending order where the highest bidder will be the eventual winner.

Each team is eligible to bid for a maximum of three capped Indian players and up to two overseas players. A minimum base price of Rs 20 lakhs has been set for all players, with the exception of uncapped Indian players with a minimum base price of Rs 10 lakhs. The purse of each team will be determined by the franchisees based on the players they select.

The bidding process will be carried out in a transparent manner with the highest bidder being declared the winner.
