If you’ve decided that you no longer want to use Instagram, you can delete your account permanently. Before you do this, you should know that you won’t be able to retrieve any of your photos, videos, or profile information once you delete your account.

To delete your account permanently, open the Instagram app on your device. Tap the profile icon in the bottom right corner, and then tap the three lines in the top right corner. Scroll down and tap Settings, then Account, and then choose Delete Your Account. You’ll need to enter your password and then tap Permanently delete my account to complete the process.

Once you delete your account, it will take up to 90 days for all of your content to be completely removed from the service. During this period, it may still be visible to other users, so you should be mindful of this before you delete your account.
